NORTON – The National Weather Service out of Boston/Norton has increased its flash flood watch to a warning for MetroWest.

The warning is in effect until 4 p.m. today, due to Tropical Storm Elsa.

At 11:08 p.m. Doppler radar indicated bands of moderate to heavy rain continued to cross through the warning area.

As of 11 am, rainfall amounts ranged from around 1 inch to near 2 inches.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected through early this afternoon, with localized higher amounts possible.

Route 9 and Route 126 intersection is already having issues. Also Caldor Road between Route 9 and Route 126 near Walmart is having flooding issues.
