Greater Boston Pan-Hellenic Council Presents $1,000+ Check To United Way of Tri-County

FRAMINGHAM – Last month, the Greater Boston Pan-Hellenic Council thanked the Pearl Street Cupboard & Café – United Way of Tri-County in person with a check of more than $1,000 to United Way of Tri-County President Paul Mina for the many years of service to the Framingham community and beyond. 

UWTC has distributed millions of pounds of food to families in need as well as backpacks filled with school supplies to children across MetroWest. 

The Greater Boston National Pan-Hellenic Council (GBNPHC), known as the Divine 9 is the council of the nine historically Black fraternities and sororities. 

The four affiliate sororities include: Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., & Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.. 

The five affiliate fraternities include: Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., & Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. 

The purpose of NPHC is to foster cooperative actions of its members in dealing with matters of mutual concern and to promote the well-being of each affiliate organization.  The primary focus remains to be community awareness, scholarship, leadership, support for the Black and Brown populations through education, economic, and cultural service.
