FRAMINGHAM – The Callahan Center is hosting a virtual program on The Music of Motown on Tuesday, July 13.

Few genres of music are as dance-worthy as Motown. The songs of The Supremes, The Jackson Five, Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, and others formed the soundtrack of a generation, and are still among the bestloved and most recognizable hits of the 20th Century. But do you know the real story of this
incredible music?

Join Brett Abigaña for an exploration of this wonderful music and learn about the stories of the artists, the Motown label, and the songs that we all know and love. Abigaña is a composer whose music has been performed throughout the world. He has written a wide variety of music including chamber
music for strings and winds, song cycles, and numerous pieces for orchestra and symphonic band. He has gained a reputation for writing expressive, and triadic music.

The program starts at 6 p.m. and is for those age 55+

Pre-registration is required by July 9 by calling the Callahan Center in Framingham.
