FRAMINGHAM  – Gerald “Gerry”  Gray, 91, a resident of Framingham for many years, died peacefully Wed. June 30, 2021 at St. Patrick’s Manor.

He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy A. (Donnell) Gray who died in 2018.

Born in Reading, he was the youngest of 11 children of the late Robert G. and Bertha (Parker) Gray.

A graduate of Reading High School, Gerry served the Commonwealth and his country in the Massachusetts National Guard from 1950-1955 during the Korean War.

He owned and operated his own upholstery business, Bonnie Upholstery in Allston,  from 1959 until retiring in 2016 at age 87.

Gerry loved the ocean in Maine and particularly enjoyed Acadia National Park and Mt. Katahdin.  His easy going nature and his solid work ethic will be missed by all who knew him.He is survived by his daughter: Cheryl M. Crivello & her husband Paul of Westborough; his three granddaughters: Meghan Crivello, Ashleigh Crivello and Rebecca Crivello; and a son-in-law: William White of Ashland.

In addition to his wife Dorothy, he was predeceased by a son: Robert L. Gray in 2005 and a daughter: Donna White in 1984, as well as his 10 siblings.

A funeral service will be held Wed. July 7 at 11 a.m. at Boyle Bros. Funeral Home, 173 Union Avenue in Framingham.

Burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery, Chestnut Street in Ashland.

There are no visiting hours.

The family would like to thank Chris and Jody from St. Patrick’s Manor and Metrowest Hospice staff members: Jamie, Stephanie, Michelle, Bernadette and Marcos for the kind and compassionate care they all extended to Gerry during his final years.
