1 Yesterday was the final day for the City’s Chief Financial Officer Mary Ellen Kelley. She is leaving the Town/City after 16 years.

2. Mayor Yvonne Spicer signed the City’s Fiscal year 2022 budget, which starts tomorrow, July 1 on Tuesday afternoon. The $305.9 million budget has a zero tax levy increase, as City Councilors cut $1.5 million from the mayor’s proposed budget.

3. The heat index is expected tor each triple digits again today, and thus the National Weather Service still has a heat advisory in place through Wednesday night.

The City of Framingham is opening both libraries and the Callahan Center as cooling stations.

Two of the three beaches are open for swimming today.

4. CITY of FRAMINGHAM MEETINGS:

  • Edgell Grove Cemetery Trustees at 2 p.m.
  • Framingham City Council: Planning & Zoning Subcommittee at 6 p.m.
  • Fair Housing Committee at 7 p.m.

According to Mayor Yvonne Spicer’s public schedule she will attend the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Buckley Kitchen on Franklin Street.
