FRAMINGHAM – After 3 years on the Framingham Planning Board, Shannon Fitzpatrick has opted not to seek re-appointment to the 5-member Planning Board. This will leave an open seat on the Board.

“It was a difficult decision, as I so appreciated the opportunity to help guide our City in making planning decisions,” said Fitzpatrick to SOURCE.

Fitzpatrick said she wants to focus on family, and that she plans to retire later this year.

A District 1 resident, Fitzpatrick is an attorney for the Fitzpatrick Family Law. She was appointed to the Planning Board by Mayor Yvonne Spicer in May 2018.

“I look forward to following the Board and using my voice as a member of the public.  I thank the Mayor for appointing me and the City Council for approving my appointment. It has been an honor,” said Fitzpatrick, a resident of Framingham since 2007.

The Mayor earlier this month, re-nominated Joseph Norton to the Framingham Planning Board, for another 3-year term.
