FRAMINGHAM – An Framingham man, 91, was struck and killed tonight, June 23 in Framingham, according to Framingham Police Deputy Chief Sean Riley.

A medical helicopter was requested for the man, according to the scanner.

The incident happened on Normandy Road, near Rose Kennedy Lane at the entrance to Mass Bay Community College at 7 p.m.

“The victim was pronounced deceased a short time later,” said Deputy Chief Riley.

The driver remained on scene, and is cooperating with investigators, said Deputy Chief Riley.

Police are not releasing the man’s name as his family is being notified, said the deputy police chief on Wednesday night.

This person was not in a crosswalk at the time of the accident, said Sgt, Rachel Mickens.

“As of right now there have been no citations issued or arrests made,” said Sgt. Mickens on Thursday. “It is under investigation by State Police Reconstruction Team.”
