ASHLAND – Eugene L. Cobuzzi, Jr., 76, of Ashland passed away June 12, at the V.A. Hospital in West Roxbury.
He was a disabled veteran of the United States Air Force, serving his country honorably during the Vietnam Conflict.
Born in Waltham, he was the son of the late Exilda (Beliveau) and Eugene L. Cobuzzi, Sr.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ellen (VanMameren) Cobuzzi of Ashland; three sisters, Janice Cobuzzi of Framingham, Jackie Doyle and her husband Barry of N.H. and Cayce Sands of N.H.; serval nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and two great grand nieces; two brothers-in-law, Daniel VanMameren and his wife Bonnie of Virginia, Dennis VanMameren and his wife Gail of Connecticut; two sisters-in-law, Janet Van Mameren of Connecticut and Michelle VanMameren of Florida. He was predeceased by three brothers-in-law, John, Thomas, and William VanMameren and one sister-in-law-law, Alice VanMameren.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday morning, 9 a.m. at St. Cecilia’s Church, Esty Stree in Ashland with interment to follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Ashland.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. from the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main Street, Ashland.
