1 Yesterday, the City of Framingham raised the Progress Pride flag at the Memorial Building during a ceremony celebrating LGBTQ+ pride month.

2. Today is Flag Day. The City of Framingham will hold a ceremony rain or shine at 10 a.m.

  • Framingham Housing Authority at 2 p.m.
  • Framingham City Council: Planning & Zoning Subcommittee at 6 p.m.
  • Framingham Board of Library Trustees at 7 pm.
  • Framingham Board of Health at 7 p.m.
  • Framingham Strategic Initiative & Financial Oversight Committee at 7 p.m.

4. According to the Mayor’s public schedule, Mayor Yvonne Spicer will participate in the Flag Day ceremony at 10 a.m.

5. Today is the birthday of the U.S. Army. The U.S. Army was founded on 14 June 1775, when the Continental Congress authorized enlistment of expert riflemen to serve the United Colonies for one year.
