FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham High School girls outdoor track team finished 7th in the Bay State Conference meet at Braintree High.
The 40 points scored was the best result in several years said coached Chris Collins & Ed Crowley.
Framingham High Class of 2021 graduate Sophie Albright was crowned Bay State Conference champion in the high jump with a leap of 5-feet, 4-inches
Sophomore Maya Bishop won the 200-meter event in 25.85 seconds to take the championship title.
In the preliminary round, she ran a 25.44 second heat to break the Framingham High School record.

Flyers took second place in the 4X100 relay. Sprinters were sophomore Madelin Jones, junior Kylie Chagnin, freshman Abby Desmairis, and Bishop in 50.77 seconds.
Wellesley High won the relay in 50.44 seconds.
Desmairis finished fourth in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:08.02 minutes.
Chagnon finished 8th in the 400-meter event. Her time was 1:03.78 seconds.
“Just wanted to give a quick shout out to Trinity Trainor too! 3 PRs in three different events for three consecutive meets! Most impressive was her 4’10” High jump where she came in 4th place! Way to go Trinity! You are the epitome of hard work and dedication paying off,” said Coach Julie O’Leary.
The state meet is June 19.
