FRAMINGHAM – The following City of Framingham and utility work will take place this week.

Construction schedules are weather permitting and subject to change.

Edgell Road Gas Main Replacement: Eversource gas will continue replacing gas main on Edgell Road between the Nobscot intersection and Donovan Drive. Expect moderate delays. Lane shifts and/or a one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect.

Gilbert Street Gas Main Installation: Eversource gas will continue replacing gas main on Gilbert Street between Nipmuc Road and Winthrop Street. Expect minor delays. A one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect.

Grant Street Roadway and Sidewalk Improvements (Between Arthur and Hartford Streets): Drainage work will be conducted. A two-way and/or one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect. Police details will be on-site to facilitate traffic.

Leland Street Sidewalk and Road Improvements (Between Irving and Beaver Streets): Driveway apron adjustments, pavement markings, and punch-list items. A two-way and/or one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect. Police details will be on-site to facilitate traffic.

Mt. Wayte Avenue Gas Main and Regulator Pit Replacement (Between Union Avenue and Franklin Street) – Eversource Gas: Eversource will continue gas main work on Mt. Wayte Avenue. Expect moderate delays. A partial road closure will be in effect on Mt. Wayte Avenue eastbound. Traffic traveling eastbound will be detoured.

Nelson Street and Forest Avenue Water Main Replacement: A City hired contractor will begin replacing water main. Nelson Street and Forest Avenue will be open to residents and emergency vehicles only during construction.

Nobscot Intersection Improvements: Underground electrical service work. Anticipated work will occur off the road. Expect minor delays.


Warren Road, Walnut Street, and Dennison Avenue Surface Treatments: Utility castings will be adjusted. Expect minor delays. Police details will be on-site to facilitate traffic.
