FRAMINGHAM – On Friday, Framingham Police Chief Lester Baker gave Officer Steven Loud the Meritorious Service Award, for his work in helping to apprehend a suspect wanted in an armed bank robbery last spring.

On Friday, April 10, 2020, around 10 a.m. Officer Loud and other officers were dispatched to the Citizen’s Bank, at 74 Main Street in Framingham, for a reported armed robbery, explained Framingham Deputy Police Chief Sean Riley.

Back up officers arrived at the scene and obtained a description of the suspect and the suspect vehicle, said the deputy police chief.

“While checking the area, Officer Loud located the vehicle matching the description traveling on Worcester Road in the area of
Prospect Street, at which time he initiated a felony motor vehicle stop of the vehicle taking the operator into custody without incident,” said Deputy Police Chief Riley.

“A follow up investigation revealed the suspect was also responsible for another bank robbery in Shrewsbury, earlier that morning,” said Deputy Police Chief Riley.
