FRAMINGHAM – Team New England MetroWest is fundraising for its competitive AAU basketball year-round program.

“The program is different from most in the sense that we never want to turn a child away because they cannot afford to cover the cost, so we fundraise,” said organizers.

“Fundraising is a TEAM effort where all players get involved, the funds raised support scholarship opportunities, extra gym time, gear and additional tournaments,” said organizers.

“Our hope is that with your help, we can attain our goal and give our youth a life-changing experience,” said organizers.

The program is very close to its $8,000 goal.

Yesterday, Framingham Police Officer Tim Mangano stopped by Butterworth Park and shot a few hoops with the team. Mangano is a former starter for the Framingham State University Rams.
