FRAMINGHAM – In celebration of Asian-American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Month, Framingham Public Library is hosting a program on Thursday, May 27 with Dr. Yumi Park Huntington on Joseon Dynasty Art and Social Structure in BTS.

Huntington will introduce attendees to BTS, the internationally-beloved South Korean boy band; examine aspects of their cultural impact; and analyze their music videos, in particular Suga’s “Daechwita” for its portrayal of the Joseon dynasty.

Juxtaposing scenes from the video with Joseon dynasty paintings, she’ll explore how aspects of history and culture are represented in different media.

The free program starts at 7 p.m. on Zoom.

Register at bit.ly/FPL-Events by 5pm on May 27 to join.
