FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham High girls tennis season opened the season yesterday on the road against Newton North.

The Tigers won the match 5-0.

“We have a very young, inexperienced team this year with no seniors,” said head coach Larry Wilbur.

“We had tryouts last week with no cuts and currently carry a roster of 16,” said the head coach.

The team has its home opener today against the Warriors of Brookline High at the courts at the high school.

“We hope to see a lot of growth and improvement this year from all of our players,” said the head coach.

“This year we have honorary captains for each of our matches,” said Wilbur.
