FRAMINGHAM – The City of Framingham announced 18 new COVID-19 cases since Wednesday, May 5.
Since the pandemic, there have been 244 deaths.
Framingham has had a total of 8,187. coronavirus cases since the pandemic began. Framingham has about 74,500 residents.
That means about 11% of the City has been diagnosed with COVID-19 since the pandemic began in March 2020.

The good news is 6,444 individuals have recovered.
As of April 19, the general public, age 16 and older became eligible for the vaccine.
Active cases in the City of Framingham decreased to 1,499.
Individuals in quarantine increased to 552.
The free COVID -19 Stop the Spread testing site on Franklin Street closed over the weekend.
The drive-thru site is by appointment only and is expected to remain open through early August.
