FRAMINGHAM – Sister Mary Louise McCarthy, (Sister Rita Joseph), in her 70 year as a beloved member of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Boston, died Monday, May 3, 2021. 

Devoted daughter of the late Florence Dennis and Helen Louise (Sheehan) McCarthy, and loving sister of the late Eleanor McCarthy and Robert McCarthy and aunt of the late Maureen Carlino. 

Sister Mary Louise is survived by her cherished nephew, Robert J. McCarthy, Jr., his wife, Marie, grandnephew, Benjamin, and her Sisters in the Congregation. 

Formerly missioned as a teacher at Immaculate Conception School, Marlboro; Holy Name School, West Roxbury; St. Ambrose School, Dorchester; Boston School for the Deaf, Randolph; and Trinity Catholic ACA, Brockton. 

Sister Mary Louise also served as Parish Minister at St. Edith Stein Parish, Brockton

Private Burial.   

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at a later date.
