FRAMINGHAM – An auction of a home in Framingham, scheduled for today, May 4, was cancelled.

“The auction scheduled for today was cancelled as the entire account balance was paid off,” said Paul Zekos of The Zekos Group Auctioneers, just after 3 p.m. to SOURCE.

The City of Framingham had ordered the auction of a single-family home at 5 Forest Road for 3 p.m. today, May 4.

The split level single family home sits on a quarter-acre lot and has 1,100 square feet of living space.

The 3-bedroom, 1.5 bathrooms home also featured a fireplace and attached garage.

A deposit of $10, 000 in certified or bank cashier’s check was required to register to bid. An additional $10, 000 deposit would have been due in within 24 hours, with the closeing in 30 days.

The property was being sold as is.

SOURCE reached out to the City’s Tax Collector/Treasurer but no response as of this posting.
