FRAMINGHAM – The City of Framingham announced today, April 28, just 12 new COVID-19 cases Monday.

Since the pandemic, there have been 243 deaths.

Framingham has had a total of 8,113 coronavirus cases since the pandemic began. Framingham has about 74,500 residents.

That means more 10.5% of the City has been diagnosed with COVID-19 since the pandemic began a year ago this month.

The good news is 6,347 individuals have recovered.

As of April 19, the general public, age 16 and older became eligible for the vaccine.

Active cases in the City of Framingham is down to 1,523.

Individuals in quarantine decreased from 581 to 520.
