FRAMINGHAM – Framingham Police arrested a Framingham man on a drunk driving charge after a hit & run crash on Beaver Street Thursday night, April 15.

Arrested at 7:46 last night was Martir Jacobo Hernandez Amaya, 40, of 154 Second Street in Framingham.

He was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of a crash with property damage, and operating a motor vehicle with no license.

The incident start with a hit & run crash “in the parking lot of 113 Beaver Street,” said the Framingham Police spokesperson.

“The victim was able to provide a vehicle description” and get a picture of the license plate to police, said Sgt. Rachel Mickens.

Police officers located the vehicle in the parking lot at 154 Second Street with the operator still inside the vehicle, said Sgt. Mickens.

Based on observations, the officers determined he was under the influence of alcohol, said Sgt. Mickens.
