BOSTON – The Commonwealth of Massachusetts downgraded Framingham from a high-risk community for the spread of the coronavirus to a moderate risk or “yellow” community tonight, April 15.

Framingham had been a high-risk community for COVID-19 since April 1.

The latest data shows that Framingham had had 320 new coronavirus cases in the last 2 weeks.

The rate of positivity for the last 14 days has been 3.49%.

The average number of cases per day per 100,000 residents has been 30.7 cases.

Framingham Public School students begin school vacation week this weekend.

As of April 19, all residents age 16 and older are eligible for the vaccine.
