FRAMINGHAM – In planning for the Christa McAuliffe Charter School’s annual online auction next month, the school has
teamed up with Middlesex Savings Bank and Avidia Bank, who have each pledged $2,500 donations, as well as HR Knowledge and Petrini & Associates, P.C, to sponsor the auction. The donations will be used to purchase gift cards from local businesses.

“As we emerge from the past 14 months with new hope as the vaccine becomes available to more and more people, our goal is to help celebrate this new normal by encouraging people to support the local businesses in MetroWest,” said Mara Gorden, Director of Community Development for the Christa McAuliffe Charter School. “We continue to be so grateful to the MetroWest community that has been supporting our school and fundraising efforts for many years. It is our pleasure to return the favor in this most unusual year.”

McAuliffe plans to use the generous donations from the above listed sponsors to purchase gift cards to local businesses in MetroWest. These gift cards will be featured in the school’s online auction that is being held May 12 to 19.

All proceeds from the auction support the school’s ongoing programs for scholars and their families.

The auction will also include 40 additional items that were donated last year and held over when the 2020 auction did not take place due to the state shutdown.

McAuliffe wants to know your favorite local business so we can support them with a gift card purchase to feature in the upcoming auction. Please email mgorden@mcauliffecharter.org with your suggestions.
