FRAMINGHAM – Framingham High swimmer Ashwina Bangari set a new freshman record in the 200 freestyle event in the Flyers meet against Boston Latin.
Bangari swam the 200-freetstyle event in 2:02.14 minutes.
That broke a record held by Kara McCurdy set in 2014 at 2:02.47.
McCurdy was a state title swimmer for the Flyers, and is currently a junior at Providence College.
The Flyers are undefeated this season with their final meet of the season Thursday, April 15 against Holliston High.
