Traffic Alert: Framingham Road Construction The Week of April 11

FRAMINGHAM – The following are the road construction projects the week of April 11.

The projects include the City of Framingham, MassDOT, and utility projects.

Construction schedules are weather permitting and subject to change.

Bates Road Extension Culvert Repairs: The Highway Division will make culvert repairs on Bates Road Extension. Expect minor delays.

Edgell Road Gas Main Replacement: Eversource gas will continue mobilizing and begin replacing the gas main on Edgell Road between the Nobscot intersection and Donovan Drive. Expect moderate delays. Lane shifts and a one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect.

Leland and Irving Streets Sidewalk Improvements: Sidewalk excavation continues. Expect minor delays. A two-way and/or one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect. Police details will be on-site to facilitate traffic.

Mt. Wayte Avenue (Between Union Avenue and Franklin Street) – Eversource Gas: Eversource will continue gas main work on Mt. Wayte Avenue. Expect moderate delays. A partial road closure will be in effect on Mt. Wayte Avenue eastbound. Traffic traveling eastbound will be detoured.

Nobscot Intersection Improvements: The City’s contractor will continue installing drainage on Edmands Road and Edgell Road. Eversource Electric will relocate aerial wires on Water Street. Expect moderate delays. A two-way and/or one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect.

Osmose Utility Citywide Utility Pole Inspections – Verizon: Dig safe paint markings will be noticeable in the public right-of-way near telephone poles throughout the City for Osmose’s Citywide utility pole inspections. Sewer Manhole Inspections: A City hired consultant will conduct sewer manhole inspections near Grove Street, Blackberry Lane, Woodmere Road, Berkeley Road, Millwood, Temple, and Pleasant Streets, Angelica Drive, and Tech Park area. Expect minor delays at times.

Wood Terrace Water Main Replacement: Water main replacement will begin. Wood Terrace will be open to residents and emergency vehicles only during construction.
