FRAMINGHAM – “After school dismissed this afternoon, it was brought to the attention of the school administration that a student may have had a weapon in their possession when they were in the building today,April 9,” announced Keefe Technical High School Principal Shannon Snow in an email to families tonight after 7.

“This report immediately led to an investigation, which included assistance from the local police department.  This investigation, and the subsequent search of the student residence, led to the discovery of an airsoft gun.  It has reasonably been determined that the airsoft gun may have been in the building today,” said Principal Snow.

“Even though an airsoft gun is not a firearm, it is not permitted on school grounds and is in clear violation of our student handbook.  We will be responding to this situation in accordance with the student handbook,” said the Principal.

“The safety of the school community is our top priority.  We are grateful for the students who communicated with school administration when they had a concern, and we continue to encourage students and families to contact the school with any concerns,” said the Principal.
