FRAMINGHAM – Geraldine “Geri” M. (August) Tigert, age 77, of Franklin, died at home in the comfort and care of her family on Friday, April 2, 2021.

Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Mary (Treveloni) August. Geraldine was the loving wife of the late John Tigert.

Geri’s family meant everything to her, and she cherished spending time with them, especially her grandchildren.  She enjoyed cheering them on from the sidelines as they played sports but also appreciated just talking with them to hear all about their busy lives.  She also had a very strong bond with her three “grand dogs” and found tremendous joy in taking care of and spoiling them.  She was a member of the Franklin Senior Center where she did many classes and activities.

Geraldine is survived by her daughters, Karen Ertmann and her husband John of Medway and, Kim Donohue and her husband Jim of Cohasset; grandchildren, Emily and Michael Ertmann, Caroline, James and Mary Cate Donohue; siblings, Susan Donovan and her husband Chris of Holliston, and Tom August and his wife Marilyn of Dallas, TX.  Niece and nephews include Kyle Donovan, Kaitlin Donovan, Adam August, Evan August, and Jordan August.

At the request of her family, services will be private.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech Street in Framingham.

Geri was an avid animal lover so in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pawfect Life Rescue of Uxbridge, Ma. (www.pawfectliferescue.com)
