In full transparency, the following is a press release submitted to SOURCE by the Framingham Police Advisory Committee.

FRAMINGHAM – Not only is Spring here, but so is mating season which brings an increased risk of wild animal encounters and aggression.

On Thursday, April 8 at 7pm, the Police Advisory Committee will host a community presentation with officers from the Framingham Police Animal Control Department.

Residents are invited to learn more about Framingham’s Animal Control, what to do when faced with aggressive animals, and answer any questions.

We also will be joined by a very special guest – Cam!

Residents will be introduced to Cam, Framingham’s passive search K9. Cam has been trained to detect drugs, but unlike aggressive K9 search dogs, will not bite or scratch when he detects an odor. Learn how Cam and his handler train daily training to stay synced, and why Cam is such an incredible resource for Framingham.
