FRAMINGHAM – Firefighters responding to a report of a house fire on Monday night, April 5, extinguished a mulch/leaves fire next to the house.

The call came in about 9:30 p.m. for 10 Hampshire Road in Framingham, which is near Butterworth Park.

“Call came in as a fire but was really leaves next to the house,” said Framingham Fire Chief Michael Dutcher on Tuesday. “Mulch/leaves were quickly put out with a small water extinguisher” by firefighters.

There was no damage to the house.
