FRAMINGHAM – City Clerk Lisa Ferguson administered the oath of office to Framingham Police Department’s newest officer Chris McGinty today, April 5.

McGinty is a 2014 graduate of Framingham High.

He graduated from Norwich University in 2018.

Prior to transferring to the Framingham Police Department, Officer McGinty was employed with the Nantucket Police Department.

McGinty’s family attend the ceremony, including his father Chris McGinty, who is Framingham Parks & Recreation Superintendent of Maintenance.

McGinty’s mom pinned on his badge, during the private ceremony in the Memorial Building.

The City of Framingham recently left Civil Service, so it could hire more diverse officers.

Mayor Yvonne Spicer attended the Ablondi room ceremony, along with Framingham Police Chief Lester Baker.
