BOSTON – Starting tomorrow, April 5, individuals age 55 and older and those with one co-morbidity are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

Every one age 16 and older in the Commonwealth will become eligible for one of the three vaccines on April 19.

There is a one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine and 2-shots vaccines by Moderna and Pfizer.

All residents can preregister to book an appointment at a mass vaccination site at mass.gov/COVIDVaccine.

Appointments will be offered based on eligibility and available appointments nearby. It is expected that more sites will come online as part of the preregistration process in April.

Timeline for remaining groups:

  • April 19th: General public ages 16 years of age and older

The full timeline is available at mass.gov/COVIDVaccinePhases.

Depending on supply from the federal government, it could take weeks for people to be notified that an appointment is available at a mass vaccination site.
