WELLESLEY – For the first time in a decade, Framingham High defeated Wellesley High in football.

The Flyers were led by senior Akye Boston who scored twice in the first half, including a 99-yard run. Boston added a third touchdown, a 1-yard run in the second half.

Framingham is now 2-0 under head coach Ed Mantie, in this shorten COVID-19 spring season.

The last time Framingham defeated Wellesley High was September 2012.

Framingham got on the scoreboard first today, March 27, when Boston ran for a 17-yard touchdown.

Flyers went up 14-0 when RJ Viele caught a 42-yard TD pass from Cody Coleman.

The Wellesley Raiders, ranked 12th in the state, had marked down to the 1-yard line and was looking to score when senior Dante Marino forced a fumble.

After Framingham took the ball back on the 1-yard line, Boston scored the 99-yard touchdown run.
