FRAMINGHAM – Anita P. O’Neil, 83, of Framingham passed away on March 22, 2021 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. 

She was the wife of the late William J. O’Neil who died in 2015. 

Anita grew up in Connecticut and was a graduate of St. Joseph’s College and later Boston University with a master’s degree in Social Work. 

She worked for over 50 years as a social worker for the Framingham Juvenile Court Clinic, the Natick School system as well as in private practice.

Mrs. O’Neil was preceded in death by her sister Nancy of Wethersfield, CT.  She is survived by her sister Denise LeClair of Seattle, WA; three children; Michael O’Neil and his wife Mary of Toronto; Nancy O’Neil of Framingham; and Kevin O’Neil and his wife Nancy of Medfield; four grandchildren; William, Esme, Bridget, and Trevor, and many nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID travel restrictions, funeral services will be held at a later date.
