UPDATED: Framingham City Hall Open Late For Excise Tax Bills Due Friday
FRAMINGHAM – – The Treasurer’s Office in the Memorial Building will remain open until 4 p.m. Friday, March 26, when excise tax bills are due, announced the City of Framingham, in a press release today, just before 2 p.m.
An excise tax is a tax on the valuation of a motor vehicle. The Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles determines the value of a vehicle.
The City of Framingham then uses the state figures to send out the bills.
All offices in the Memorial Building currently close at 1 p.m. on Fridays, but the Treasurer’s Office will make an exception tomorrow, March 26, to provide
residents extra time to pay their excise taxes in person, said the press release.
Residents who wish to pay their excise taxes in person should proceed to the Framingham Treasurer’s Office, Room 111.
