FRAMINGHAM – A couple of female athletes at Framingham High have tested positive for the coronavirus.
SOURCE has confirmed that some Framingham High athletes have tested positive for COVID-19.
The news outlet has learned athletes connected to girls ice hockey and girls field hockey have either tested positive for COVID-19, are under a quarantine, or participated in pooled testing for the virus this month.

“In order to maintain confidentiality, we do not disclose specific, identifiable medical information about students or staff,” said Superintendent Bob Tremblay.
Other school districts have noted if there re positive cases with their athletic teams. For example, Natick Public Schools announced a positive case associated with its football team, which forced the rescheduling of the Framingham vs Natick game to April 15.
“The Framingham Public Schools Covid Dashboard is updated daily with all pertinent COVID-19 data,” said Tremblay.

Framingham High has reported 14 COVID positive cases this month.
There were 2 cases reported on Friday. Two cases reported on Monday, and a new cases reported on Tuesday, and today, March 24.
Framingham Public Schools follows CDC and Mass DPH contact tracing guidelines, said Supt. Tremblay.
“We collaborate with the Framingham Department of Public Health and state epidemiologists to make decisions regarding contact tracing and team quarantines,” added the Superintendent.
