Robert William Morrison, 82, of Ashland, passed away Thursday March 11, 2021. 

Born in Cambridge-Narrows, NB, Canada, he was the son of the late Emerson and Stella Morrison. 

He was the husband of Rita Morrison for 38 years. 

Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Pamela Richards of Norway, ME, and Karen Redmond and husband Bryan of Chesapeake, VA; granddaughters Melissa Gaynor and husband Luis Zayas of Bridgton, ME, and Heather Gaynor of Norway, ME; sisters Carol Roush of Social Circle, GA, and Sandra Dempsey of Salt Springs, NB; brothers Donald Morrison of Lepreau, NB, and Raymond Sutton of Cambridge-Narrows, NB; six great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Robert was an avid tinkerer, woodworker, and metalworker.  He had several occupations during his lifetime, including assembly worker and truck driver, and retired as a metal worker and manager for Ward Weller Co. of Hudson and later Worcester. 

He was a member of the Ashland Lions Club and was an active volunteer in his community, including driving for Meals on Wheels in Ashland. 

Robert enjoyed antique cars and traveling to area shows with his friends and visiting family back home in New Brunswick.

A memorial service to honor Robert’s life will be held at a later date.
