MassDOT To Close Simarano Drive Ramp on Route 495 Thursday Into Friday

MARLBOROUGH – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing that it will be implementing a temporary overnight closure of the off-ramp from Interstate 495 northbound to Simarano Drive (exit 23C) in Marlborough.

This closure will take place from 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 11, through 5 a.m. on Friday, March 12.

This closure is necessary to facilitate bridge repair work.

During the temporary ramp closure, traffic will be directed to exit I-495 northbound at exit 24B (Route 20 westbound, Northborough) and follow the detour signage in place to reverse direction onto I-495 southbound.

Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and advanced message boards will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.

Drivers who are traveling through the area should reduce speed and use caution.

All scheduled work is weather dependent and may be impacted due to an emergency.
