FRAMINGHAM – As part of the lifelong learning lecture series between the Framingham Public Library and the Framingham State University, Sarah Adelman an Associate Professor of history at Framingham State University will present a talk exploring how the charitable and reform activities women undertook in nineteenth-century American cities simultaneously were seen as marks of the “true woman” and yet also allowed them to push the boundaries of gender norms that designated the home as women’s “sphere.”

The lecture is Thursday, March 11 at 7 p.m.

All requests must be received by 5 p.m. on March 11.
