FRAMINGHAM – Sister Joan Patricia Lonergan, CSJ, in her 64th year as a beloved member of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Boston, died Saturday, February 20, 2021. 

Devoted daughter of the late George and Alice (Conlin) Lonergan, and beloved sister of the late Mary Alice Collins and Joan Lindsey.  Sister Joan Patricia is survived by her loving brother, George Lonergan, Jr., along with 9 cherished nieces and nephews, 16 grandnieces and grandnephews, and her Sisters in the Congregation. 

missioned as a teacher at St. Catherine School, Somerville; St. Raphael School, Medford; and principal at St. Anthony School, Allston; as well as college instructor and public relations representative at Aquinas College, Newton. 

Sister Joan Patricia also ministered as a counsellor at St. Clement School, Somerville; St. Theresa School, West Roxbury; and St. Joseph Preparatory High School, Brighton, and was assistant administrator with her dear friend, Sister Martina Marie Kelly, administrator of Sisters of St. Joseph Motherhouse, Brighton.

Private Burial.   

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at a later date.
