FRAMINGHAM – Police have closed Edgell Road between Brook Street and Belknap Road to all traffic, after a City of Framingham trash truck struck a utility pole.

Reports now have multiple poles and wires down, due to the strike of the first pole on Edgell Road.

Initial report is minor injuries to the driver.

The police announced the closure of Edgell Road, just after 12:30 p.m. today, February 23.

Edgell Road re-opened around 6:30 p.m.

Police said the road would be closed for hours, and possibly into the evening commute time.

Seek alternate route. Police are detouring traffic.
