FRAMINGHAM – Catalina Lebron, 81, also known amongst her family as “Titi Talyn,” passed away on Tuesday, February, 16, 2021 at the MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham.

Catalina was born on March 9th,1939 in the city of Guayama, Puerto Rico.

She was the eldest daughter of Tomasa Ortiz and Antonio Resto and helped raise 14 younger brothers and sisters.

In her formative years, Catalina spent 14 years working as a seamstress in her hometown, helping clothed many children in her community.

On January 23, 1971, she married her husband of 50 years, Andres Lebron. They were blessed with two children, Iris “Grisell” and Andres “Tito” Lebron. The start of her new family eventually led her to relocate to Philadelphia, and ultimately Framingham, where she would take on the role of matriarch for the Lebron-Resto-Ortiz families.

For 81 years, Titi Talyn graced us with her love, affection, devotion, and fierce loyalty to her friends and family. Although small in stature (4-foot, 10-inches), she had a larger than life presence.

At family gatherings, her booming laugh could be heard easily a block away, her warm embraces would last days, and her wise words embedded in our hearts forever. She helped raise and care for a multitude of generations of children; from her brothers and sisters, to her nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchild.

She instilled lessons around love and loyalty for family. Well known in the community for her willingness to extend a helping hand to anyone that needed one. Whether it was paying a visit to a loved one in need or offering her time to listen and comfort a friend.

She departed on the same day her mother, who passed away 42 years ago, and in a way a poetic transition to her rightful place above, watching over her family.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Tomasa Ortiz de Resto, her father, Antonio Resto, her sister Ursula “Golo” Resto, and brothers – David Resto and Ulisses “Liche” Resto.

Catalina is survived by her husband, Andres Lebron, her children Iris Morales and Andres Lebron Jr., Her grandchildren; Jaylidee Amaya, Frandie Morales, Isaiah Lebron, Jalen Lebron, and her great-grandson Yariel Amaya.

Funeral services will be private.
