FRAMINGHAM – Richard P. “ZOUCH” Zontini Sr., lifelong resident of Framingham, died Thursday, February 18, 2021. He was 79.

Richard was born and raised and lived his entire life in Framingham and worked for the town up until his retirement in the early 2000’s.

He was the son of the late Robert Sr. and Theresa (Fedolfi) Zontini, also lifelong residents of Framingham.

He was married for 49 years to the late Pamela A. (Colbeth) Zontini with whom he has now been joyfully reunited.

He is survived by his children Adele Zontini of Framingham, Richard Zontini Jr. and his wife Kathy of Ashland, and Joseph Zontini of Epping, NH; six grandchildren Jayme, her partner Jon, Brandi, her husband Greg, Julien, Keith, Ashley and Amanda; four great-granddaughters Ava, Annaiya, Aleena and Azani. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Jr., of Yarmouthport as well as many nieces and nephews.

In years prior, Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a longtime member of the Columbus Club. 

In recent years he spent his days taking rides to the cemetery to smoke a cigar and visit his wife, Pamela. He also enjoyed taking care of his grand-dog Nellie.

Funeral arrangements will be private.

He will be missed by all who knew him.
