MARLBOROUGH – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing it will be implementing a temporary overnight closure of the off-ramp from Interstate 495 northbound to Simarano Drive (exit 23C) in Marlborough.

This closure will take place from 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, through 5 a.m. on Friday, February 26. This closure is necessary to facilitate bridge repair work.

During the temporary off-ramp closure, motorists will be directed to exit Interstate 495 northbound at exit 24B (Route 20 westbound, Northborough) and follow the detour signage in place to reverse direction onto Interstate 495 southbound.

Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and advanced message boards will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.

Drivers who are traveling through the area should reduce speed and use caution.

All scheduled work is weather dependent and may be impacted due to an emergency.
