1 Trash collection is on a one-day delay this week due to yesterday’s Presidents Day holiday.

2. Today is Fat Tuesday or Mardi Gras. Tomorrow starts Lent.

Mardi Gras refers to events of the Carnival celebration, beginning on or after the Christian feasts of the Epiphany and culminating on the day before Ash Wednesday

3. According to the Mayor’s public schedule, Mayor Yvonne Spicer will hold a community hour at 5 p.m. on the COVID-19 Vaccine and underrepresented communities.

4. CITY OF FRAMINGHAM MEETINGS (all are Zoom or remote unless otherwise stated):

  • Framingham School Committee Policy Subcommittee at 4 p.m.
  • Framingham City Council finance subcommittee at 7 p.m.

5. The library is offering a lecture on the hip-hop culture today.

BONUS: COVID testing & vaccine information for Framingham

The Commonwealth’s free COVID testing site at Framingham State University’s parking lot, which is by appointment only, expanded to 3 thanks to Senate President Karen Spilka.

The City of Framingham has yet to open a free walk-up COVID testing site in 2021, although SOURCE has learned they are considering one of the City’s polling places as a potential site.
