FRAMINGHAM – Framingham Police announced today they are seeking Axel Mercado, 40, inc onnection with a shooting in the City on December 29, 2020.
Mercado is 6’2″ and 325 pounds. He is wanted by the Framingham Police Department for attempted murder and firearms charges.

The shooting took place at 2C Brackett Road in Framingham on Tuesday night, December 29.
Brackett Road is located in District 8, off Route 126, near the Ashland line.
Framingham Police Lt. Patricia Grigas confirmed that night one man was shot. His injuries are unknown at this time.
The scanner had the victim taken to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester via ambulance.
“He was conscious and alert,” said Lt. Grigas of the man shot.
