NATICK – John A. Porter, of North Branford, CT and formerly Natick and Franklin, passed away suddenly of natural causes without any of his loved ones able to say goodbye on February 2, 2021 at the age of 57.

Beloved son of the late A. Norman and Mary (Pineau) Porter, he grew up in Natick and graduated from Natick High School in 1981.

After high school he proudly joined the Marines and was honorably discharged. He later moved to Franklin, and then the Connecticut area where he was working as a mechanic.

John leaves behind his three beautiful daughters: Rachel of Jacksonville, FL, Kelsey of Cumberland, RI, and Shannon of Franklin, as well as his sisters and their husbands, Linda and Stephen Faust of Pepperell, Judy and John Clancy of Barnstable, Laurie and Rick White of Natick, and Lisa and Jack Fox of Sandwich. He also leaves behind his loving companion, Gail Zercie of North Branford, CT and many dear nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be held in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street in Natick on Wednesday, February 24 at 11 a.m., followed by interment with Military Honors at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Natick.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you hug each other and show your love while you can, and if you would like to donate to a charity in John’s memory he would be very proud to help his fellow servicemen at Disabled American Veterans, www.dav.org or Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org/donate.
