ASHLAND – Ashland will have a remote learning day on Tuesday, February 9.

“While it is not ideal for families, students, and staff tomorrow, Tuesday, February 9, will be a remote learning day for all students in Grades PreK-12.  We are having a remote day due our internet connectivity being compromised over the past few days. Unfortunately, teachers are not able to stream effectively to both cohorts from within the school and with the impending snow storm making travel dangerous tomorrow afternoon, we feel it is important to make this decision now,” announced Ashland Superintendent of Schools Jim Adams tonight.

” I apologize for this sudden change but in order to ensure all students are provided learning opportunities tomorrow this is the best option. We hope that we will be able to fix our technical problems before Thursday’s in-person learning,” said Adams.

There will be no extended day on Tuesday.
