UPDATED: Super Bowl Sunday Snowstorm Forecasted For MetroWest

BOSTON – Sunday is Super Bowl Sunday. Tampa Bay & Kansas City will battle it out in warm Tampa.

Here in New England, we are dealing with not only Tom Brady in the Super Bowl and not our Patriots, but a Winter Storm Warning for Sunday into Monday, February 8.

This afternoon, February 6, the National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for Sunday, February 7 at 7 a.m. until 1 a.m. on Monday.

Heavy wet snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 9 inches for MetroWest.

.Rain may mix in at times, especially near the immediate coast.

Winds gusting as high as 40 miles per hour, said the National Weather Service.

Snowfall rates could reach 1 to 2 inches per hour at times during the afternoon hours.

Mother Nature delivered 16 inches of snow to Framingham earlier this week.
