FRAMINGHAM – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing it will be implementing temporary overnight closures of the on-ramps and off-ramps on Interstate 90 eastbound and westbound at exit 111 (old exit 12) in Framingham.

The temporary closures are necessary to allow crews to safely and efficiently conduct bridge repair operations, and will take place as follows:

  • The I-90 eastbound/westbound (exit 111/old exit 12) off-ramps to Route 9 westbound will be closed from 8 p.m. on Monday, February 8, through 4 a.m. on Tuesday, February 9. Drivers will be directed to follow the detour signage in place.
  • The I-90 eastbound/westbound (exit 111/old exit 12) on-ramps from Route 9 westbound will be closed from 8 p.m. on Friday, February 12, through 4 a.m. on Saturday, February 13. Drivers will be directed to follow the detour signage in place.

Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and advanced message boards will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.

Drivers who are traveling through the area should reduce speed and use caution.

All scheduled work is weather dependent and may be impacted due to an emergency.
