FRAMINGHAM – Richard L. Oleson, 92, a lifelong resident of Framingham died Sunday, January 31, 2021 after a period of declining health.

Born in Newton, he was the son of the late Olaf & Mary (Reagan) Oleson.

Raised and educated in Framingham, Dick was a graduate of Framingham High School, and proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War.

When he returned home, he began his 40-year career as a Police Officer with the Town of Framingham.

He met and married the love of his life Audrey and together they raised their family in Framingham.

In his retirement he continued with the Town maintaining the parking meters, and sold used cars as a hobby.

He spent many hours working outside in the yard, and he and Audrey enjoyed traveling with friends.

Besides his wife Audrey E. (Groehl) of almost 63 years, he is survived by his children, Laurie Anzivino & her husband Jay of Framingham, Judy Stepien & her husband Frank of Lancaster, and Richie Oleson & his fiancé Allison Winarski of Framingham, his grandchildren, Kara Bausha & her husband Dan, and Courtney and Daniel Stepien, and his great grandchildren, Jonathan and Lauren Bausha. He was predeceased by his brother William Oleson.

Considering the current health restrictions, Dick’s family will honor and remember his life with private services and interment.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in his name to: Care Dimensions Hospice House, 125 Winter St. Lincoln, MA 01773.

Arrangements by the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home of Framingham.
