1 Today is the first day senior citizens, who are age 75 and older, could receive their COVID-19 vaccine shots.

Many senior had a hard time finding clinic spots last week. The City of Framingham is holding a vaccine clinic at Keefe Technical on Saturday, Feb. 6. All the spots are filled. There were almost 1,000 people on the wait list, but the City is not going to use the wait list for subsequent clinics.

2. The state’s free COVID testing site at Framingham State University’s parking lot, which is by appointment only, has been cancelling appointments for this afternoon due to the pending snowstorm.

The City of Framingham has yet to open a free walk-up COVID testing site in 2021, although SOURCE has learned they are considering one of the City’s polling places as a potential site.

  • Framingham School Committee: Teaching and Learning Subcommittee at 5 p.m.
  • Framingham Strategic Initiative & Financial Oversight Committee at 7 p.m. – CANCELLED

4. According to the Mayor’s public schedule, Mayor Yvonne Spicer has no public events.

5. A winter storm is forecasted to bring 8-15 inches of snow to MetroWest.

Framingham Public Schools called its first snow day for Tuesday, February 2.
